If you didn’t go for Natsu Matsuri [夏祭り], here’s what you missed.

Chaos.
Queues as long as the Singapore river.
Crappy food: Pig intestines from Kway Chap, sliced, stuffed with white shit.
Good food.
Expensive crappy food.
Expensive good food.
3 game stalls: Goldfish fishing, some Yo-yo thing, Basketball
Nice yakitori.
Cute girls. Some in yukata.

Lots of hip-hop dance performances, though I thought the dance group from my school could dance better.
Bon Odori! This was undoubtedly the greatest, most fun part of the festival, even when you have loser friends who refuse to dance.
Cheap toy yo-yos.

It was fun overall, somehow. I’ll definitely go next year. But apart from the Bon Odori, I’m getting the feeling that if you skipped this festival, you didn’t miss much…
