Dorama: My Boss My Hero

I certainly hope everyone has been spending their National Day holiday constructively, unlike myself, who finished My Boss My Hero over the course of today.
Essentially a comedy, My Boss My Hero tells the story of a 27 year old Yakuza member, Sakaki Makio, who is next in line to leading the Yakuza group. However, he [...]

Pilot Pen Refills

My Mom bought me a 7 buck (4.60 USD) ball-point Pilot pen (Dr. Grip. I really liked it. However, 7 dollars is really pushing it for something as trivial as a ball-point pen. Matters were made much worst when the pen nib completely died after less than a week’s usage. Nibs for such pens are [...]

Liar Game

So I watched the last episode of Liar Game. I thought it was pretty cheesy—too warm and fuzzy and happy for my liking. I thought that on the whole the acting, the dramatisation, the scripting of the drama all sucked pretty bad, reaching really far towards the lame side. If not for the fact that [...]

Hostmonster Does Not Suck

I was reading this blog entry about how Dreamhost Sucks At Hosting by this guy called Elliott. It includes hard data on the server specs and loads, and shows that what Dreamhost is really doing is overselling their space and cannot actually deliver what you pay for. I thought it would be a good idea [...]

22″ - Samsung SyncMaster 226BW

I have been hell-bent on getting a new LCD monitor, a long overdue upgrade to my overworked BenQ 15″. Yesterday, I was in the area close to Sim Lim, so I decided to drop in and check out the monitor prices. Prior to that, I had read up on the various entry-level LCDs in the [...]

Just done with watching The Time Machine on Channel 5. Note that this movie does not follow the plot of the novel The Time Machine written by H.G. Wells, and hence should not be confused with it. To put it simply, the movie sucked. A lacking plot that seemed to consist of seemingly related but actually random events, with a cast of characters that have pathetic screen time (other than Alexander), uninteresting concepts, not forgetting a lame ending, made this movie unworthy of the title The Time Machine. Come on, if you can’t recreate the work of genius H.G. Wells mastered more than a hundred years ago, don’t bloody hell go calling your movie after it. The ploy to lure the poorly informed to watching this show will just piss people off once they realised they’ve been had. Even Timeline seemed more interesting, though I distinctly recall thinking it was a huge joke of a book-to-movie. (0)

A Disclosure Policy is becoming increasingly necessary as the number of bloggers motivated by financial gain from writing posts about specific products and services increase significantly.
